‘measures of the old earth’ is a catalogue of ancient (and more recent) forms of measurement, captured in distant, layered, almost excavated sounds. From the bright open skies of ‘even light’, the gauzy waves of ‘smoke’ and the erupting closer ‘crawford lake’, andarctica pulls us from the deep past towards an uncertain future.

Tracked almost entirely live, combining voice, guitar, live tape manipulation and numerous effects, ‘measures of the old earth’ is an album that washes over you, reaching out across a chasm of time, asking what we will measure next?
